The kitchen and staff residence, designed by RM+H Architects, is a functional extension of the site that follows the same principles of restraint and climatic sensitivity seen across the larger project. Constructed entirely in local stone, the structure sits quietly within its landscape, defined by simplicity in form and clarity in purpose. The use of stone masonry provides natural insulation and helps maintain a stable indoor temperature throughout the year.

The building has been planned with minimal openings on the southern side to protect it from harsh sunlight and heat gain. Instead, openings are oriented towards the north and east, allowing soft daylight and ventilation without exposing the interior to direct sun. This passive strategy reduces dependency on mechanical cooling and ensures a comfortable environment even during the peak of summer. The thick stone walls retain cool air, and the layout allows air movement through cross-ventilation rather than forced systems.

The architecture avoids unnecessary finishes or decorative treatment. Every element, from the material palette to the orientation, is guided by function and comfort. The result is a structure that is durable, low-maintenance, and naturally in tune with its surroundings.

The kitchen and staff residence reflect RM+H Architects’ belief that even the most utilitarian buildings deserve thoughtful design. By responding to the site’s climate and working with locally available materials, the project achieves quiet efficiency and permanence — a simple structure that works hard without calling attention to itself.
