The School Design by RM+H Architects is conceived as a series of learning spaces organized around light, air, and movement. The layout revolves around alternating courtyards that bring daylight deep into the building while creating shaded, open zones where students can gather and interact. These courtyards form the heart of the design, ensuring that every classroom remains visually and spatially connected to an open space, reinforcing a sense of community and openness throughout the campus.

The classrooms are arranged around these courtyards in a way that allows for continuous cross-ventilation and natural lighting. The design makes extensive use of louvers and other shading devices to filter sunlight, reduce glare, and maintain comfortable temperatures during the day. These elements are detailed to respond to Nashik’s hot and dry climate, offering protection from heat while still allowing movement of air. The result is a learning environment that feels bright, calm, and naturally comfortable without heavy dependence on artificial cooling systems.

The material palette is kept simple and robust, using locally available materials that age gracefully and require minimal maintenance. Exposed brick, shaded corridors, and earthy tones give the building a sense of permanence and belonging. The courtyards are landscaped with native trees that provide seasonal shade and enhance the microclimate of the school.

The School Design reflects RM+H Architects’ focus on climate-sensitive planning and human-centered architecture. By organizing learning spaces around open courtyards and using passive design strategies, the project creates an environment that is both practical and inspiring — a school that teaches through its own architecture the value of space, light, and sustainability.
