The shower pavilion, designed by RM+H Architects, is a small open-to-sky structure that brings together light, texture, and landscape in a quiet, intimate way. Built with curved stone masonry walls, the space feels protected yet connected to its surroundings. The natural contour of the stone and the gentle curve of the enclosure soften the sense of enclosure, allowing the structure to sit comfortably within the site.
Open to the sky, the shower allows sunlight and rain to become part of the daily experience. Narrow vertical slits are carved into the walls, framing glimpses of the nearby lake and surrounding landscape. Through these openings, the sounds of water and wind filter in, turning a simple act into a meditative moment. The structure maintains privacy without ever feeling closed, balancing shelter with openness.
The choice of locally sourced stone ties the pavilion to the land it stands on, reducing environmental impact while enhancing its tactile quality. No artificial finishes are used, and the rawness of the material becomes part of the design language. The walls retain their natural color and texture, absorbing light differently through the day and grounding the structure within its setting.
The shower area is more than an addition to the site; it is an extension of the landscape itself. It reflects RM+H Architects’ continuing interest in creating spaces that engage directly with nature, where architecture and experience are reduced to their simplest, most essential forms.
